Ellsworth County Economic Development dba Grow Ellsworth County is improving the lives of citizens of Ellsworth County through recruitment, retention, and expansion of goods and services offered in Ellsworth County.
Vision Statement:
Serve as the lead agency to diversify the economic health of Ellsworth County; specific focus will be creating and implementing a plan to increase population, jobs, and opportunities in Ellsworth County; provide source information for incentives, referrals, and matters relating to community and economic development; develop marketing materials to present Ellsworth County in a positive and progressive light.
Equally important to economic health are existing businesses. To this end, Ellsworth County Economic Development shall remain a business resource for professional development opportunities, information and assistance with succession planning, and regular contact with existing business.

Grow Ellsworth County Leadership Update
Grow Ellsworth County is excited to announce Kevin Colle as our next Executive Director! A proud Kansas native and K-State Wildcat, Kevin brings a strong background in rural education, leadership, and community development. His experience includes serving as Program Manager at the KSU Rural Education Center, where he managed multi-million dollar federal grant projects, as well as time spent teaching and coaching in rural schools. Currently completing his Master of Science in Community Development at Kansas State University, Kevin also works alongside his family in a multi-generational farming operation—giving him firsthand insight into the economic and cultural fabric of rural Kansas.
Kevin will officially join the Grow Ellsworth County team this summer, following the conclusion of the school year. He’s eager to connect with our local businesses, partners, and residents, and to build on the momentum of our shared success. As Kevin shared, “I’m looking forward to working closely with local leaders, businesses, and residents to create opportunities that support our economy and strengthen the sense of community that makes Ellsworth County so special.” Please join us in giving Kevin a warm welcome!
